| The house closes....but...is it truly closed.... |
Well, we signed the closing papers lastnite. Interesting to note though, due to the holiday weekend the papers will not be final or legal until tuesday. Thats when they will be sent to the lender again (?) We were also informed that there is no longer an 'escrow period' Supposedly since this is the modern age they dont have to have a 30 or 45 day escrow period. Say what??? Never heard that before. So, needless to say, we are a bit apprehensive right now as to wether we own the house. We have the keys, garage door opener, etc. Also, the house is still a bit unfinished. A few glaring items were left 'as is' which is not acceptable at all for a house of this price. So they need to fix those before we move in anyhow. Stuff like a front door that doesnt close...ya know..the little things! ACK!! |
