Well, I finally broke out the old bike. Was hoping to clean it up to riding condition but not so sure I can find the necessary supplies. Anyhow, here are some pictures of the bike. |

That bike is beyond difficult. They don't even make 1" steer tubes anymore for MTB supsension forks. That is one goofball bike.

Yeah. thats what i was thinking. I still really really want the Santa Cruz Nomad. But at an average 4000.00 asking price around here, I think it will have to wait unless some secret money trickles in....

Yep, I'm a roadie more than an MTB'er but once you've screamed down a hill at 55mph it's hard not to love it. We rode around Tahoe again yesterday. Lots of traffic now.
The rattlesnake had been nicked by a car or bike and was pretty much gone. The stink bug was just sitting on him looking around like what the freak is this monster? I see lots and lots of road kill on the roadbike. Sometimes funny other times just stinky.

I found your cool-tool in Dad's garage. It's sitting on my kitchen counter right now. Did'ja need it?

hehee. That thing was pretty cool. Is it still functional? Yeah, I'll take it back if its not broken. More for nostalagia than anything else since it was made by the same dudes that built my bike.

Well, I guess that makes your bike some sort of antique if it's in a museum. Yours has better front suspension. That's really funny. Collectors edition. I wonder if the one the museum got was the one stolen in Mammoth?
